About Me

At my core, I am a facilitator of conversations. I love to listen and to talk, and I love to make it easy for others to listen and talk.

My experience working for over a decade in and around non-profit, social profit and justice-oriented organizations and movements has taught me that making conversations easy is easier said than done. Especially when the stakes are high — and let’s face it, in this moment, the stakes are high everywhere we look.

I’ve been honoured to work with ardent climate activists campaigning to keep our planet in balance, folks working to shift the toxic core of shareholder capitalism to business that serves people and the planet, passionate artists and arts workers fighting to continue creating as a response to 21st century social challenges, and many others.

Most importantly, underpinning all of these movements is the immediate imperative to dismantle the systems that have written the story of our past: settler colonialism, white supremacy, patriarchy, ableism, transphobia, among others. As a white, educated queer woman, I am on a lifelong journey to reckon with my privilege, and to take apart these systems in the world and in myself. I continuously learn from and seek to uplift warriors for decolonization, anti-racism, disability justice and queer and trans rights as we write the story of our future: a story of collectively liberation.

As the power structures I’ve known throughout my life are radically shifting in 2021, I know that making it easy for us to talk to one another means being transparent about power dynamics, social location and identity, privilege and marginalization. In my experience, being present to these dynamics is essential no matter what conversation we’re trying to have, or what kind of work we’re doing in the world. AND this requires radical compassion and an unrelenting commitment to honouring our wellness and our shared humanity.

And a bit of humour doesn’t hurt.

If this is the kind of container you’d like to see your important conversations take place within, let’s talk.
